Noticing the Puppet Strings that Drive Your Decisions

Puppet strings

Burning moneyMarketing pushes during the holiday seasons amplify already stressed and pressed thoughts regarding family, friends, finances and life.

Keen advertisers play on fear–because it sells.

“If you don’t buy this toothpaste, you will have bad breath and no one will love you. Not to mention that your teeth will be nasty and yellow …” the TV advertisement blares.  To whom is this ad focused? On those who are single and afraid they will remain that way and to those who desire to advance in the workplace. Notice who the target audience is and how each advertisement, for the same product, is tweaked so that it triggers those fear emotions.

Treasure Hunting and Rediscovering YOU

Waving his metal detector over the ground in a sweeping motion, he wasn’t sure what he’d find, but he knew that it was worth the search – just to see what turned up.

Willingly, he paid the price to methodically and intentionally search for the unknown.

Digging for treasureNever in his wildest dreams would he have expected to uncover a valuable lost item. But if he’d never thought of looking … if he’d never thought to bring the tools necessary to carry out that search, he would have never found the unexpected which surpassed anything he could have ever imagined.

The Magic in Wonder and The Authenticity of Being You

The Magic of being YOU

baby-faceNature constantly speaks to us a very simple message of authenticity.

Yet man, in his ever present ego, will fall prey to comparisons and the attempt to create something ‘greater than’ himself.

Yet each individual person … you, my friend … were born an original.

Think about this … Throughout all time, no one has existed as you exist now. Who you are, how you think … all of that is uniquely you. The tendency to think little of yourself or to compare yourself with others is actually something that is taught to you.
